Beth Roo Williams

Beth 'Roo' Williams had more-or-less based her acting and directing in theatre until her co-producer Andrew Kent gave her inspiration and support to try her hand at something new.

Now with the filming bug,  the family of Kanga Reel has grown and with her love of creating and directing, the films she produces are somewhat unique and colourful, and hopefully, happiness and laughter to those who watch them!

Andrew grew up taking part in and watching his Dad's cine films which is where his passion for film making had its roots.  This passion wasn't awakened until 1986 when his friend, Pete Stepney gave him a video camera and told him to shoot a documentary.  In 1995 with fellow film maker Jon Fox, he started Black Box Film Productions (www.blackboxfilmproductions.co.uk) and began shooting a series of Fan Films, making at least one film every year from 1990 through to 1996.

Roo Williams revived his film making passions and he became involved in Roo's, Kanga Reel Productions in 2008.
